Joseph Stalin's Legacy

After World War II was over Stalin was still a dictator of Russia. He had established a communist government throughout Eastern Europe. Joseph Stalin had then died on March 5th,1953 when he was 75 years old. His body was embalmed, they had wrapped his body so that they could conserve it and they had put his body in Lenin’s mausoleum in Moscow Red Square. Then in 1961, his body was moved and buried near the Kremlin walls. Joseph Stalin is remembered of being one of the most ruthless dictators of the world and the most powerful. He was responsible for about 20 million deaths in his lifetime. Many people the Soviet Union were terrified of him.
